Peter Haslehurst is chairman of Luxfer Holdings PLC, chairman of the Brunner Mond Group, chairman of Magadi Soda, Kenya and Magadi Rail, Kenya and a director of Export Credits Guarantee Department (ECGD) of the Department of Trade and Industry. He is chairman of the audit committee, past treasurer and ex vice president and fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining; President emeritus of VAI Industries (UK), and a member of the council of Loughborough University, where he is also chairman of Imago at Loughborough Ltd., their conference centres businesses. He is a companion and previously a member of the board of companions of the Chartered Management Institute, where he is chairman of the companionship assessors panel. He is a consultant to CVC Capital Partners. He was made an Eisenhower fellow in 1980 and is a trustee and an ex flag officer of the Royal Thames Yacht Club. He is a freeman of the City of London, a life fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts, a liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Engineers and a fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and of the Institution of Electrical Engineers. He was formerly chief executive of the EIS Group PLC from 1985 to 1998, chief executive of Flexibox International (EIS) from 1981 to 1985, and managing director of Wellman Smith Owen from 1969 to 1981. With wide international experience he has been a managing director/ chief executive/ chairman in manufacturing industry for 38 years.
